Also, Ricky has been involved in several civic and community organizations. Currently, he is an active member of the NAACP and Kiwanis Club-Whitehaven. Also, he is a CONNECT mentor with Memphis City Schools. During the school year, he volunteers his time as an assistant coach for the Hillcrest High softball team. 
Ricky has worked in various campaigns of elected officials which include Harold Ford Sr., A C Wharton, Thomas Long and the late Gary Rowe.
